Due Diligence Provider of the Year Winners

Due diligence was a particularly competitive category this year, with a strong mix of niche providers and more generalist firms standing out on the volume and quality of their offering. Eventually, BDO prevailed by securing overwhelming support in the public vote. The firm chose to focus on its work with Independent Vetcare (IVC) over the judging period to highlight its differentiated approach to due diligence in the UK mid-market. IVC is the result of the 2011 consolidation of several large, independent vet groups, and now has more than 200 practices in what remains a highly fragmented sector. BDO assisted IVC in its numerous acquisitions of veterinary businesses as the group expanded, adopting a flexible approach whereby management could continue to run their business and identify deals, while BDO would undertake the full scope of due diligence work.

Judges said: BDO saw off strong competition in the due diligence category this year, and did so with strong support from the wider PE community in the public vote
