John Holloway started his career in 1976 at the National Westminster Bank, where he spent four years in the Credit Department of the International Division in the City of London. Following this, he joined the European Investment Bank in early 1980 and in over 20 years had different responsibilities in a number of EIB Lending Departments. He began working for the Loan Monitoring Department in Luxembourg and then in the EIB office in Rome.
Upon returning to Luxembourg, he was appointed Loan Origination Manager responsible for developing new relationships with most of the EIB's corporate customers in the UK. He then became Head of Division, contributing to the establishment of the new Credit Risk Department of the EIB.
In June 2000 he was appointed Director at the EIF, with the responsibility to develop Venture Capital and Portfolio Guarantee operations in support of European small and medium-sized enterprises.
He is currently responsible for all Equity transactions entered into by the EIF, with approx Eur 6bn of assets under management invested in over 200 Fund Managers.
He is a member of the EVCA LP Platform, and also a member of the EVCA Board.

John is a Managing Director and heads Investment Management Europe at Capital Dynamics. He has over 20 years of private equity investment experience in Europe, the US and emerging markets. Previously, he was a senior investment manager with the West Midlands Metropolitan Authorities Pension Fund.
He also worked in financing and investment at Sandwell Borough Council. John has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy since 1973 and also sits on the British Venture Capital Association Responsi-ble Investment Advisory Board.
John was recently inducted to the British Venture Association's Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding long-term contributions to the UK industry.

Ken Landsberg

Ken Landsberg is a Managing Director and a member of ECI's Investment Committee, based in London. Ken joined ECI in 1984. He graduated in mathematics and computer sciences from Bristol University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Past investments include Racal Acoustics, Nuaire, Tragus, Guardian IT and Highway.

David is a Partner in Grant Thornton's Corporate Finance team specialising in Private Equity. He joined Grant Thornton in 1999 and is responsible for advising management and PE firms on a range of PE backed transitions. Previously he worked with Gresham Trust where he completed 40 deals comprising a range of mid market Private Equity transactions. David has a wealth of experience of dealing with Private Equity backed companies from both an investment and advisory perspective. With 25 years experience in the field of private equity, David's recent experience has been across a broad range of sectors including Business Services and Financial Services transactions with a number of mid market Private Equity firms including ECI, August Equity, LDC, Graphite, Gresham, Barclays Private Equity and Hg Capital.

Robert Nef is Member of the Management Team and of the Investment Committee of Swiss Re Private Equity Partners. Robert began his career in 1991 as a controller at Alcatel. In 1995 he joined Swiss Re as an Underwriter. From 2000 he worked in the Alternative Investment department as a Transaction Manager where he became a Member of the Management Team.
He holds a masters degree in international affairs from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He speaks German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.

Wol Kolade

Wol joined ISIS Equity Partners in January 1993 and is Managing Partner of the business. His role encompasses overall responsibility for the strategic development of ISIS, and active involvement in investments. Wol initially trained as an engineer, having studied civil and structural engineering at Kings College, London. After obtaining an MBA from Exeter University, he spent three years with Barclays in various head office roles before joining ISIS.
Wol was previously Chairman of the BVCA - British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association - in 2007/2008, a Council Member from 2002 - 2009 and Chairman of the Responsible Investment Advisory Board from 2009 - 2010. He is a non-executive Director of the Social Finance and a Governor and Former Council Member of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Wol is a Trustee of the Guys and St Thomas' Charity. It is the second largest medical charity in the UK and awards grants to facilitate improvements to healthcare services in the London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.

He was formerly a Group Partner at 3i for over 20 years where he held diverse responsibilities, for geographies, sectors and fund mandates.
